This beautiful Hedgehog house has been carefully designed as a refuge for hedgehogs during their breeding and hibernation seasons. Hedgehog populations are still in decline, so it is vital to make space for them in our gardens.

The entrance of the house has been precisely measured so it is big enough to allow pregnant hedgehogs to safely enter and exit while preventing any potential predators from gaining access. The long entrance tunnel also helps to deter predators. Complete with a removable roof, the house is easy to clean or fill with suitable nesting materials, such as hay or dry leaves. The roof is also pitched and overhangs to protect the house during heavy rainfall. Built-in ventilation prevents moisture from building up inside the house.

The Deluxe Hedgehog House’s natural green colour ensures it will blend in seamlessly with your garden. Where possible, place the house in a protected area under some permanent sheltered greenery. April and October are the best months to put out a hedgehog house, either side of their hibernation season. In particularly cold weather hedgehogs might hibernate for longer, so be careful not to disturb your residents.
